Hey! what other faiths have you converted to? Tried on for size? Entertained the notions of jumping into?

Tue, October 19, 2004 - 11:18 AMseveral breeds of protestant and judaism(the i realised i don't like the commandments much), druid (godmother - have yet to find any opposition to it, but lazy in my following), wicca (i love men too much), hindu (no nearby temple), daoism (my father reccommended it soon after I contemplated it, so I knew it wouldn't work), voodoo (slacking on research), satanism (my beau at the time destroyed my necronomicon), currently ambiguous, but open to possibilities. My son says I'm a witch, but he means it in a good way. -

Mon, May 9, 2005 - 10:13 AMIs Wicca really so anti-male? I've known a number of pagan women who were pretty enthusiastic about men, and have dated some who were pretty enthusiastic about me, but I'm not sure any of them specifically identified as "Wiccan".

It's like I couldn't get away! I *seem* to have gotten over it/them somewhere in here fortunately. --heaves a sigh of relief-- Then again maybe I'm just fooling myself....

Sat, April 9, 2005 - 2:36 PMi convertid to judaism but ultimately it didnt werkout these daze i indulge in whatever happinz to be on the itinerary church ashram burningman sex (anonymous) tarot synagogue sex (on acid) wilderness hiking sex (vanilla) papal funerals sex (s&m) bar hoppin sex (on mushroomz) museums just bummin around hinduism sex (with future xboyfrendz) gud musik gud fud etc with a special devotion to jesus ganesh & hanuman...& i have never stopped talkin with the mother of god (cuz she roks!) & of course sex...sex really has bkom a religion 4me bkuz i learned that the experience of gud sex iz exaktly the same az gud prayer...only a lot more messy & i lyke that -

Sun, May 8, 2005 - 7:49 PMi actually consider myself a catholic witch. i've always been drawn to the craft even as a child. but my catholic upbringing has influenced some of my spells. i add a dash of buddhism for flavor. i enjoy the chanting and i'm a follower of Kuan Yin. -

Mon, May 9, 2005 - 12:32 AMUmbanda has been my major other practice than Catholicism, though i've been slacking on Umbanda lately. I've also dabbled in Santeria. I was very interested in studying Sufism for a while, but couldn't find others involved in it to learn from.
We use quite a bit of Catholic imagery in the Umbanda religion, which comes from Brazil and is a syncretization of African, Native American, and Catholic beliefs. (Some Umbanda churches also "work" with Kuan Yin, Tigergrrl, she has made it to Brazil!)
